Apples Lower Cholesterol

LDL Cholesterol levels were lowered 23% in a study of a group of women 45 to 65 who ate 2.5 ounces of dried apples per a day for a year. I had to read this once twice, as that is a significant reduction! 23% lower LDL (bad) cholesterol just from eating apples daily!

In addition they increased their HDL (good) cholesterol by 4% and lost 3.3 pounds!

Now there is a reason to eat your apples!

I always knew apples were good for ya!

On another note my Mama used to pick poke salad from the side of the road and cook it up. I was always scared to eat it because I heard it was poison. Mama said that if you boil it several times it would take the poison out of it, but I never ate it. She said it would cure several ailments, but still...

how about mushrooms? I heard they were good for something not sure what.

A buddy of mine is interested in a mushroom called the chaga or something like that. He says it has all kinds of healing powers. He is sorta far out you know...
