my company cancelled my United Health Care retirement plan so I have absolutely no idea where to go and what is good. It is all enormously convoluted...and a plain nightmare! What is Humana, what is part D, vs Plan D...I have no clue. First, I need dental and vision - where and who? It said that Part D is fairly new so why would I have to pay a penalty - I started medicare in 2010. What is coverage for Chemo - my friend just got hit with $40,000 payment.
No one will give me a straight answer...any direction?

Late reply but I just joined the forums today....

I hope you have it all straightened out by now...BUT if you previous had prescription coverage last year from any policy you will NOT be charged a penalty .when you find the Part D policy you want to buy...

Each Company has different drugs that they cover and some companies have several different plans......Plus what drugs they cover from the approved list of drugs that Medicare actually allows them to cover) ...NOT ALL DRUGS ARE COVERED ,,,

Sorry but I do not know of any plans that have Dental and Vision coverage even the Medicare Advantage plans in my area only off er a discount for Dental and Vision and the discount honestly is NOT MUCH...
