According to one article cuts to the Medicare budget in the past have not directly affected care for beneficiaries, so they think that future cuts to Medicare won't affect them either.
I think this type of rationalization in trying to sell Medicare cuts is dead wrong and that people aren't so stupid that they will go along with it. For example the President's recent proposal to raise the Medicare age to 67 eventually. How could this NOT directly affect Seniors 65 and 66 years old? Have you priced health insurance for a 66 year old?
