I am 67. If the company is sold and the new parent company eliminates duplicate position and I gets layoff, I can ask my employer HR to fill out form L-564 to avoid penalty. However, it takes over 3 months to get Medicare B. What can I do regarding health insurance in the waiting period? Do I have to pay my own health insurance?
