A Medicare Advantage Private Fee for Service Plan (PFFS) is a Medicare Advantage Plan sold by private insurance companies. Like other Medicare Advantage Plans the PPFS plan works with Medicare paying a set amount each month to the insurance company to administer your health care. Under the PPFS plan the insurance company decides how much it will pay for services so there will be some providers that will not accept it.

There is no "network" of doctors and hospitals in the PFFS plan, you must check with each provider before service is rendered to see if they agree to accept the payments amounts and terms of payment that the insurance company offers. If it is emergency care the amount will be covered even if the provider does not accept the payment terms.
