Medicare coverage of "Labs"

Hi:

My wife is new to medicare, and diabetic.She has them done everytime she has an appointment with her PCP. Now that she is on medicare, are those labs covered? Thanks, in advance.

It has been my experience that labs are covered by Medicare if used in the treatment of an illness. Medicare does not always pay for labs when used for screening purposes. So I think your wife's labs for treatment of Diabetes would be covered.
