As far as I know your Medicare ID number is always your social security number, followed by a letter. Of course I have only seen a ID numbers, I could be wrong.
Your Medicare ID will have a social number and letter. It may not be your social number if you did not work enough quarters and they would then use your spouses ss#. A T D are the most common letters that I see but there are about 20 options that could be used for various reasons. If you search "letters used in Medicare ID numbers" you will get the chart of all that are used. But 90% are A or T or D.
