Medicare Institutes New Fraud Fighting System

Medicare announced Friday that it has new fraud fighting technology that will screen claims prior to payment in an effort to cut down on fraud payments.

You would think that, as large as the Medicare program is and as long as it has been around, that an extensive screening program would have been in place for decades, however that is not the case. The previous system only did basic screening, and allowed most fraud claims to be paid.

I hope the new system works, to the benefit of the tax payers, medicare recipients, and to bring the crooks to justice!

This is much needed to weed out the Medicare crooks! I read that in some areas there are clinics that open up just to practice Medicare fraud then they close up and are gone in a few months before the government can track them down. Maybe this will stop them in their tracks and put them in the pokey where they belong.
