Today (Oct 15, 2013) is the beginning date for Medicare Open Enrollment for 2014. It extends until Dec 7, 2013.
Now is the time to review your Medicare Advantage and Medicare Prescription Drug programs to see if you can get better coverage for less money.
To do so go to http://medicare.gov and click on the "find health and drug plans" icon or use the direct link below:
https://medicare.gov/find-a-plan/questions/home.aspx
It is easy to switch plans! Once you find one you like just click the "enroll" button and complete the forms and you will be automatically enrolled as of Jan 1, 2014. What's more you will be automatically "un-enrolled" in your old plan as of Jan 1, 2014 without you having to contact your old plan!
I personally have switched my prescription drug program a couple of times and it was easy to do with no problem. Don't stay with a plan that is charging too much, or does not give you good customer service!
