A new study shows that Medicare Part D reduced health care costs for non drug related care. The study showed non-drug health care costs decreased by almost 4% among a group of seniors who had little or no drug coverage prior to Medicare Part D going in to effect in 2006.
I think the point behind this study is that now that Seniors have help getting the medication they need, their over all health care costs are less because they take their medicine, when before, some couldn't afford the cost of the medicine.
