I will be singing up for Medicare this September 2018 and I know Plan C, F and F-HD Medicare supplement will no longer be for sale as of January 1, 2020. And if you are in then you can keep the plain. I am thinking about Supplement F-HD. The question is on the $2240 deductible.

If I were to go to the doctor and the visit cost $100 will Medicare pay the part B of %80 and I would pay the %20 which will go to the deductible. Or will I have to pay the $100 bill until my deductible is met of $2240.

can someone help?

thanks
Michael

Medicare still pays first. Medicare pays their 80% and you pay the remaining 20% until you have paid $2240. Then F-HD takes over.

This assumes you already paid the Part B deductible, currently $183, which is also applied toward the F-HD $2240 cost share.
