What a great idea! Doctors and Hosptals will be held more accountable for performance ! Under the Affordable Health Care Act, Medicare is moving away from the fee for service programs toward a system that will better coordinate the treatment of Medicare patients with the goal of providing better results as well as Medicare cost savings.
Hooray! Somebody finally gets it! Don't pay them for the number of procedures or tests they perform, pay them for the QUALITY of care they provide and the results obtained from their care!
