Nearly one in six people with Medicare took advantage of one or more of the recommended free preventive benefits available under the Affordable Care Act. This is according to a report released by The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Among those free services used were mammograms, bone density screenings, and screenings for prostate cancer.
That's good news because if you catch something early, your chances are much better of defeating it and getting on with your life than if you put off going for a checkup. Most things usually don't heal themselves.
