Transplant Patients

I was inquiring about the billing of medicare part b and private insurance for transplant medications post transplant. My spouse has my insurance (I am still working and employed) and he also has Medicare Part B. In this case, which insurance would be billed as primary for his transplant medications after he is transplanted? And can the other insurance be billed as secondary?

When you say "medications" I assume you mean prescription drugs? Medicare Part B doesn't cover prescription drugs, it is Medicare Part D that is the prescription drug program. Also most Medicare Advantage plans have a prescription drug program.

Yes, I am referring to prescription drugs. Medicare Part B does cover immunosuppressants for transplant patients. I just need to know which insurance is billed as primary. Thank you!

That question is beyond me, maybe someone else can answer.
