When do Part B premium payments begin when you sign up during the GEP starting Jan 1 2020

I have decided to add Part B to my Medicare coverage. I understand you can only add it during the General Enrollment Period which starts o Jan 1st each year.

If I apply for it in early January I was told Part B coverage will not begin until July.

When do you have to start paying the monthly premiums???

If you do not have Social Security, you will receive a quarterly bill around June to cover Part B premiums for July, August, and September. Please refer to the website below for more information.
