Botox Medical Question

Hi all,

I currently have Medicare and I have Part A & Part B but I also have Medicaid. The last time I went to the doctor for Botox for my muscle spasms. I was told since I had both insurance carriers to my name that Botox wouldn't be covered on either 1.

Is there a way around this? I was going to occupational therapy before for my hand and had Botox previously.

Thanks

Does anybody have any idea???

That doesn't sound right. Normally Medicaid helps pay what Medicare does not meaning Medicare would be primary insurance and Medicaid secondary. The fact that you have both doesn't usually eliminate you from coverage. I would call Medicare 800-Medicare and verify coverage directly with them.
