That is good news. Maybe I will take a closer look at getting a Medicare Advantage plan over traditional Medicare. The big thing that concerns me is the limitation on using network doctors and hospitals. I have been in a PPO for years and I don't like it but didn't have a choice because that was all I could get. Several times I have had to go outside the network for various reasons and it cost me big time.

It really is surprising after all of the predictions of the end of Medicare Advantage because of rate hikes! Buzzy, if MA plans are too restictive, you may want to consider a Medicare Supplement plan N

What is the advantage of Medicare Supp Plan N? I'm looking to apply within the next year and I want to make sure I'm educated on all of my options.

Jack,

Check out my blog post on Medicare Supplement Plan N. Basically, you save premium by paying a co-pay at the doctor and the emergency room. The best plan really depends on you and your health and financial situation.
