Medicare Age Needs to be raised to 67

A congressional panel recommends raising Medicare eligibility to age 67 in order to reduce the budget deficit.

What? Are they crazy? Now they want to raise the Medicare age to 67? Have they priced private health insurance for ages 65 and 66? Of course they haven't, they are members of congress who get their health care free, so why should they care.

This is the worst idea I have heard yet about reducing the budget deficit. Cut out the fraud and the waste in ALL government programs and viola, you have instant balanced budget!

Good luck with getting that passed! Sometimes I think congress stays drunk all the time and that's how they come up with such stupid ideas.

Well I am over 70 so this wouldn't affect me but I'll be damned if I see the wisdom in this. How can someone 65 and 66 afford private insurance? I know I couldn't have! Thank God that Medicare was there for me.

Like my Mama always said those politicians should be taken out behind the woodshed and given a good whupping for coming up with such nonsense!
