Since I got my medicare card and have paid for the first 3 months by check, I now want to medicare to withdraw their payment by electronics funds transfer from my banking account. I have looked online and do not find the instructions for this, or a form to complete or anything.

Anyone know a way to start EFT with medicare (without calling Medicare and going through their ridiculous phone menu)?

Well I found out that the only way you can sign up for Medicare premium payments by EFT is to call Medicare and ask them to send you the forms. In about 2 weeks you get the forms in the mail then you complete them and send them to Medicare, along with a voided check.

Why can't they just put the forms online so you can print them out and send them in? The government seems to be the slowest in going paperless.

I feel for you classof63, it seems that Medicare must drown you in a sea of paperwork to get anything accomplished. Wasn't there something about a paperwork reduction act a few years ago? It hasn't filtered to Medicare yet. A paper for everything, yet they can not stop the fraud. Maybe they are so covered up in paper they can't find their common sense?
