Most Seniors Happy with Medicare

A new study suggests that most Americans on Medicare from the middle income group are very happy with it.

The study was of the income group from $25,000-75,000 and included 400 people below the age of 65 and 400 above 65. I am wondering why they included the 400 below 65? The vast majority of Medicare recipients are 65 and older so it seems to me that a more realistic study would have been to limit it to the over 65 group.

Anyway, you can read about it via the link below.

It's very rare that you find someone that is generally unhappy with their Medicare experience. Of course, it could be that this age group is generally less likely to complain about benefits across the board. Who knows. It would have been nice to have seen a more expansive study of a greater number of participants.

Medicare is one of the many federal programs that are fast going to being out of financing. Numerous solutions have been proposed, including privatized Medicare plans that would issue vouchers for recipients to buy insurance with. However, a study has discovered that privatizing it would result in premium increases for most individuals.
