Question about Cost-Sharing Ministries and Medicare Advantage

I am currently involved in a Christian cost-sharing program called Christian Healthcare Ministries. Can you tell me if belonging to this organization instead of having an Obamacare health insurance policy prohibit me from qualifying for a Medicare Advantage Plan when I enroll in Medicare?

Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

The type of coverage a person has prior to Medicare, including having no health coverage at all, does not impact a person's ability to enroll in a Medicare Advantage Plan during their Initial Enrollment Period (IEP).

You can join, switch, or drop a Medicare Advantage Plan (Part C) with or without drug coverage during these times:

Initial Enrollment Period: When you first become eligible for Medicare, you can join a plan.
