Benefits denied

Hello,

I migrated to Georgia US at late age and have worked here for seven years accumulating approximately 28 credits.

I turned 65 last month and went to the SS office to check if I qualified for the benefits but I was denied since I do not have enough SS credits to qualify (28/40). In addition I also have some cash in bank due to a house sale back home which will be used to purchase a property here in US.
I am attempting to find employment but have not had any luck so far...I was told I need a little more than two more years of work to be eligible.... do I have any other options to qualify now besides keep on looking for work?
Also what is the approximate cash amount threshold which makes ones ineligible?, should I consider purchasing a property now and then reapply with a lower balance?

Are you talking about Social Security benefits, or are you talking about Medicare benefits? Medicare does not have an income qualification, and Part A may be purchased if you do not have enough credits.

Medicare/medicaid benefits....do not have enough Social Security benefits, applied for medicare and medicaid which got denied because of assets.

Medicare and Medicaid are two different programs. You can qualify for Medicaid based on income and assets, but this is not the case with Medicare. You can pay for Medicare Part A if you do not qualify for the free Part A based on working 40 quarters. Check out this article from Medicare.gov
