    New bipartisan Medicare Plan

That's very interesting, although I think large scale changes are unlikely to happen.

    Protein drinks after exercise

Wow - I'm going to have to try that! I count my calories, so anything I can find to help burn them off is great. Do you have a favorite brand?

    Healthy Eating Choices

At the end of the day, I don't think anything beats counting calories. I know that it's not the most popular, but once you get in the habit, it works every time. There's nothing quite like that first time you actually add up the number of calories from a meal, and realize that you just ate a...

    Secrets of Living Longer

Getting exercise is so critical. Even just a few short walks around the house every so often can go a long way!

    Eat healthy at the deli

Mustard is an excellent swap. If you like spicy foods, nearly all hot sauces are low (or no!) calorie, and a little goes a long way. And if you're having deli at home, Hellmann's Dijonnaise is an amazing low-calorie spread. It has a small amount of the zing from Dijon mustard, and it's...

    Tips for healthy living

The best thing that I realized is that sauces and condiments are where the sneaky calories are. Some of the little sauces you get from fast food places can be as high as 200 calories! Dressing for salads can be as bad too. If you like salads or dressing, I suggest looking Bolthouse Farms...

    Healthy eating for one

It can be a challenge planning meals for one. Personally, I prefer to stick with mostly frozen foods, as I find I can control my calories better. It's not quite the same as preparing things fresh, but it's a nice balance between time and convenience. The Green Giant steamer vegetable bags are...

    Protein drinks after exercise

I heard that as well, John. Something like 35-45 grams of protein first thing in the morning increasing your weight losing capacity for that day by 20%. The more eggs in the morning the better, I guess!

    First Lady encourages healthier eating

That's a good point, Thomas. It's amazing how much energy people can waste getting angry about government programs that encourage healthy eating. Being healthy saves us all money in the long run!

Medicare Overpays Insurers Offering Medicare Advantage

It's almost unbelievable how much is wasted. Here's a recent article I read about overpayments and waste in regards to healthcare. I'm sure you've all seen this story repeated frequently in recent years...
