Medicare advantage PPO and their mullti state networks

I don't think that is correct with Medicare Advantage. I think you would need to use the doctors in your home area. In your "away" area you would be covered for Emergency Room visits and Urgent Care visits only. To verify, check with Humana, they could have changed it.

What if you become ill and need a drug to get well or manage the symptoms that is not generic? None of are $4 at Walmart. Of course everyone thinks they won't get sick, won't get in an accident, won't die, etc. In that case you don't even need health insurance at all! I guess it depends on...

    Part D Late Enrollment Penalty

If you never sign up for a Part D plan there will not be a penalty. The penalty is only for those who sign up late. And the penalty is greater the later you sign up, and persists for the rest of your time that you have coverage. In my opinion it is foolish to go without drug coverage. You cam...

Medicare Denied A Claim To Chiropractor

Medicare will usually pay for about 12 adjustments per year, so I wouldn't know why they denied your claim. I don't think they will pay for Xrays by the chiropractor.

Do You Need A Medicare Supplemental (or Advantage) Policy?

It did not strike a nerve, I am not in the insurance business, I am just a layman like you. I was just saying that if you aren't sick much, and are a gambler, go the self insurance route! I did not buy a supplement policy because of possibility of hospital costs, but for the possible high cost...

Do You Need A Medicare Supplemental (or Advantage) Policy?

Medicare Part B pays 80%. The supplement policy picks up the rest. The 20% can be very expensive. If you don't go to the doctor much, and can afford the 20% when you do, then by all means do not buy a supplement policy. However a major illness with tens (or hundreds) of thousands of dollars...
