    Exercise as good as antidepressants

It is good for mild depression. I wouldn't say it is a "cure all" for depression.

    Harder Exercise Gives Positive Attitude

I completely agree with this, I feel the best after a tough workout, if I slack somewhat I don't feel nearly as good.

    No Evidence Exercise Increases Lifespan

I think there might be some credence in what the author is trying to point out. I do not believe that exercising prevents aging. I mean, exercising makes you feel good about yourself, and you may "feel" like you're 20 again, but you are still aging nonetheless. I believe exercise helps with...

    A prescription for exercise?

I agree, it will save money in the long run too!

Fish protects heart but only if cooked properly

Anything fried is pretty much harmful if eaten every day. You also need to watch out for high mercury levels in some fish.

    Eating Healthy While Traveling

I agree, avoiding anything fried is a great start. Also, avoid high calorie/fattening salad dressings.

    Most Seniors Happy with Medicare

It's very rare that you find someone that is generally unhappy with their Medicare experience. Of course, it could be that this age group is generally less likely to complain about benefits across the board. Who knows. It would have been nice to have seen a more expansive study of a greater...

Medicare System Fertile Ground for Fraud

Eye-opening article. It's only going to get worse in the years to come unless something drastically changes.

Medicare / disability coverage with gap insurance

Yes, I've heard of Cobra plans in excess of $650 to $750 per month, but $900 is a first. So sorry!

    Healthy eating for one

I think this is a temptation for anyone living alone, it just tends to have quicker adverse effects for those in their later years. When you're in your twenties or thirties, you can get away with this stuff. But I've found that having access to a gas grill, for me, helps tremendously. Throwing a...

    Yoga for those over 60

I've actually heard that as long as you are going to an instructor that is fully aware of the...limitations...of our over-60 bodies then you should be fine. It's the instructors that aren't necessarily familiar with seniors that will generally try to get you to do too much too soon. Take it slow.

Caffeine and exercise protects from skin cancer

Well, I've got the coffee thing down anyway. ;) Still working on the exercise part.

    Eating healthy on a budget

Thanks for the article. I also recently stumbled upon this area of the ChooseMyPlate.gov site while doing some research. Good stuff here as well. Choosemyplate.gov/healthy-eating-on-budget

Healthy Eating Plate Replaces Food Pyramid

I do think this is a much better model for parents and kids or anyone looking to reassess their eating habits. Try explaining the logic of the pyramid to a 4 year old! The plate makes much more sense.
